OK, first let’s get this out of the way. I am no spring chick. I am old enough to have seen Teddy Ballgame play many games (on TV and in person) and old enough to have spent many hours imitating his swing in my backyard when I was a kid. Except for the constant reminder that I am even older than Julio Franco, I feel fortunate that I can reminisce about 48-year old trips to the ballpark with my Dad and fortunate that I can say that since those days I’ve seen hundreds, no make that thousands, of baseball games. So why should anyone care about me or how many baseball games I’ve seen? The answer is you shouldn’t, except I thought it might be fun to make some productive use of all this otherwise useless baseball-watching experience to formulate a Top Ten list (well…..let’s save time and make it Top Three) of those things that to this pair of eyes have changed the most about baseball over the past fifty years.
