Tuesday I wrote about the 40 essential gamecube games that any Wii/Gamecube owner should have and the list seemed to be pretty popular with the exception of a couple of choices. However, the major complaint was that there was no justification behind each choice and so I have listened and this list is even more comprehensive than the last one with some opinions and links. Also I have grouped game series together if I felt that they should all be played to either get the story or the overall experience so technically the list is greater than 25 games. The major problem I had was with sports games and fighting games since they seemed to get released yearly and one didn’t standout as being superior to the rest. I also narrowed the list down to 25 and with the huge selection of great games in the PS2 library this was not easy.

With the Playstation3 out and its backwards compatibility with PS2 games the Playstation2 will slowly be phased out and many great games will either disappear or drop considerably in price. Now is a great time to purchase these games before you can only find them on eBay. Without further ado…
